Business Financial Resilience Diagnostic (BFRD)

A free 60-minute assessment that scores how well your business holds up when something goes wrong.

The short answer

The Business Financial Resilience Diagnostic (BFRD) is a structured, 60-minute review of your business across 8 pillars. You leave with a Business Resilience Index score between 0 and 100 and a prioritized list of your top 3 gaps. It is not a sales call. Phase 1 is free.

The 8 pillars
  • Revenue continuity: What happens to cash flow if the owner is out for 90 days
  • Liquidity and capital: Whether the business can access cash without going to a bank
  • Key-person and workforce: Who the business cannot function without, and what happens if they leave
  • Supply chain: Single-vendor dependencies and backup options
  • Digital and cyber: Exposure to phishing, ransomware, and data loss
  • Regulatory and ESG: License dependencies and compliance gaps
  • IP and knowledge: Methods or relationships that exist only in one person's head
  • Succession and exit: Buy-sell agreements, ownership transfer, and exit readiness
How the score works

Each pillar is scored on whether protection is missing, partial, or documented and able to hold up if the event happened today. The scores combine into one index, and your three weakest areas become your top 3 gaps.

What you get

A Business Resilience Index score, your top 3 gaps, and a written summary after the session. What you do with them is your decision.

Who it is for
  • VC-funded founders and startup executives.
  • Professional services firms: CPA practices, law firms, architecture firms, and medical practices.
  • Growth-stage LLCs with a real team and decisions that are getting more complicated.
Where insurance fits, and where it does not

Some gaps point to coverage, such as business overhead expense insurance, key-person disability insurance, or buy-sell funding. Others are operational, like documenting procedures or adding a backup vendor, and need no insurance at all.

BFRD vs FRD

The BFRD is for business owners: 60 minutes, 8 pillars. The Financial Resilience Diagnostic (FRD) is for households: 45 minutes, 6 pillars. Many owners benefit from both, because the business and the household depend on the same income.

Who runs it

Peter Boglo is an independent insurance specialist licensed in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Texas. He holds insurance licenses only and sells no securities products.
